By creating a very short high energy pulse to channel thermo-acoustic energy, our Q-Switched laser breaks down tattoo ink into minute particles. These particles are absorbed by the body and pass through the lymphatic system, eventually leaving no trace of the original artwork.
As the laser attacks the tattoo, a light grey ‘frosting’ appears on the tattoo, indicating that appropriate energy was applied, and the removal process is ready to begin. laser tattoo removal may feel a little uncomfortable, but it’s a lot more tolerable than getting inked.
We’re with you every step of the way, working with you to set out a treatment plan to achieve the best possible result. Q-Switched lasers are currently the safest and most effective tool for removing or fading tattoos, offering the least chance of scarring compared to other forms of removal.
An ice pack will be used to cool the skin before treatment. The process is quick and will feel like an elastic band snapping against the skin and after will feel lie a sunburn. Numbing cream isn't recommended before treatment but if necessary can be applied before coming in for your treatment.
Tattoos vary depending on colour, depth, location, age of tattoo and your general health so there is no guaranteed amount of treatments we can predict but generally anywhere between 6-9
(often times more). For this reason we also offer a Complete Removal Package.
With Lutronic Technology we can safely and effectively treat all colours from black, red, blue and yellow. Laser cannot treat white ink.
We recommend 2-2-2
Wait 2 months after a new tattoo to start removing. Wait 2 months between treatments to retreat. And wait 2 months after last removal before getting a. new tattoo or coverup in the area.
Patients will notice results between treatments, but most need at least 6-9+ treatments to achieve the optimal results. There is little downtime between each treatment, and at the end of the final treatment, most will achieve at least 85-100 percent tattoo removal.
